overview I am a physiologist by training and I am currently the Chair and a Professor at the Department of Physiology. Throughout these years I have been developing my skills in the use of different modalities of microscopy. These have been refined through by attendance to academic and commercial courses as well as other investigators’ laboratories at several institutions: the University of Texas at San Antonio, Austin, and the University of South Carolina, Woods Hole and the Molecular Devices Headquarters of Metamorph software at Dowington, PA. I also have more a decade of experience in helping investigators and students understand the theory behind confocal and widefield fluorescence microscopy.
